Pablo Morales – Student Spotlight Bio Story

Written by: on June 21, 2017

Pablo Morales-FamilyPablo Morales is a Christian Theologian and Ordained Pastor who loves God, loves teaching, loves people, and loves diversity. He has a passion for helping people from all backgrounds learn God’s Word in a way that is clear and relevant. That is why he enjoys so much explaining the Gospel to people who are seeking God and mentoring new believers in their spiritual journey. This passion is evident in the diversity of training materials he has produced throughout the years. Whether be through the Gospel Explanation, the Discipleship Mentorship, From Singleness to Oneness, or the Strategic Leadership Training, God has used him to touch many lives across the globe.

In addition to his passion for teaching, Pablo also has a passion for diversity in the church. This passion has led him to help shape the vision of Ethnos Bible Church to minister in the sixth most diverse city in America. He is developing a church model that seeks to embrace people from different ethnicities and languages into one community inspired to love God and serve Him with devotion.

Even though Pastor Pablo has a passion for teaching and embracing diversity in the church, his deepest passion is to love his wife and children as Christ loved the Church. Pastor Pablo and Sara married while attending Dallas Theological Seminary. The Lord brought them together from Chile and Thailand and called them to serve Him as one international and multilingual family in leading a multiethnic church. God has blessed Pablo and Sara with four children born in Texas: Alex, Sofia, Max, and Lucia. Sofia is now with the Lord.

Despite the fact that Pablo enjoys teaching, church ministry, and people, he gets recharged by spending time alone and with his family. He is not much into sports and big crowds. Instead, he enjoys relaxing in nature and admiring God’s creation. His creative mind gets replenished by doing photography, graphic design, playing guitar, singing, making vocal arrangements or simply playing piano in his living room at night. His drive for learning gets replenished by watching documentaries, reading, and being engaged in analytical conversations with anyone passionate about ideas. He always enjoys drinking a nice cup of strong black coffee accompanied with something sweet. He has discovered that the secret to maintaining a young spirit is to play tickling monster with his kids on a weekly basis.

Pablo was born in Chile to Nelson Morales and Rebeca Fredes as the fourth of seven children.  He grew up in a family that loved God and trusted in Christ as his Savior at age 6 after his father explained the gospel to him at bed time. Pablo served as a missionary in Mexico City, and has been the Lead Pastor of Ethnos Bible Church for over a decade. He holds a BA in Bible Studies from Rio Grande Bible College, a Master’s in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership and Global Perspectives at George Fox Evangelical Seminary. He is also a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.

From all his favorite Bible verses, perhaps the one that defines Pablo’s lifestyle the most is found in Colossians 3:23-24, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” With this eternal perspective, Pablo seeks to follow Jesus Christ and serve God with excellence out of his love for the Lord. So, in all of his pursuits Pablo seeks to do his best, honor his wife and children, learn in order to improve, and develop solutions in a team effort to seek God’s interests in the world. He looks forward to enjoying God in the new heaven and the new earth and to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
