Why do I do what I do?

I believe in the right of every human being to live a beautiful life full of hope, joy, and peace.  I believe in the right of freedom of religion.  I believe in the right of freedom from oppression.  I believe Jesus’ statement, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”  I believe in finding and celebrating the beauty of life.

This is why I teach, write, research, speak, travel, and sing.  I strive to show love to others and inspire hope in every one of my students.
