If you have already registered your car on MyGFU, then a permit has been assigned to it as of today.
Security is finding that many of you are changing your vehicle registration on MyGFU and deleting one vehicle and registering another. Permits have already been assigned to the first vehicle you registered.
Please do NOT change your registration without talking to security, as permits are already assigned and logged in at Mail Services. Security can walk you through the process and can then re-assign the permit to the new vehicle, but we need to know BEFORE you go in and delete a vehicle and register another one.
Please call between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. and we can get it taken care of before duplicate permits go to mail services.
Call security at 503-554-2090 if you have any questions about this. It is very labor intensive for both security and mail services to track down these changes and remove the vehicles/permits from both databases, so please help us out at this very busy time and let security know of your change of vehicle BEFORE going on MyGFU and simply deleting it. You will make a lot of people happy in security and mail services. Thanks!

If you’ve visited the George Fox website yesterday, you may have noticed things have changed. While most of the content of the site has stayed the same, the new design will both freshen up the look and feel of the site, and introduce some key new features:
- Responsive Design – Instead of a mobile-specific website, the new site uses a framework that allows content to be reformatted for multiple devices. That means that one webpage can work for both desktop, tablet and mobile phone visitors.
- School Colors – The site now uses Navy Blue and Old Gold more, to better reinforce university branding.
- Font Usage – We have better font usage throughout the site, which makes text-heavy pages look cleaner, and gives a more professional presentation.
- More Flexible Template – The new design allows for much more power in our designers hands, meaning as we redesign pages in the future, we’ll be able to do more with less effort.
We’d love to have feedback from the university community about the new design. As we move forward with more designs in the future, your input will be critical into how we move forward.
Please fill out our web survey form and let us know what you think. Or, if you would prefer to interact directly with us, e-mail webmaster@georgefox.edu.
Thanks,
The Web Development Team

Students should take a few minutes to confirm that they have the meal plan that they are expecting to have for the fall semester.
Please log on to your MyGFU account. Find UNIVERSITY FORMS in Student Resources, then look for the MEAL PLAN FORM.
The meal plan you have should be listed on the top, left hand side of the page.
Details about the meal plan can be found on the Student Life website – Meal Plan Options.
Please contact Jere Witherspoon in student life if you have any questions.

Security services would love to make you aware of another excellent resource on iGFU. After you log on to iGFU on your smart phone, computer or tablet, select “University Resources.” One option is “Emergency Procedures,” and after you click on that, you can choose the emergency and read some concise information on what to do.
This is extremely helpful if you aren’t in your office or classroom and are unable to view the Emergency Response Guides hanging on the walls. Be sure to check it out before you need it, and also familiarize yourself with the Emergency Response Guides posted around campus, as they contain more detailed information.

Students who have registered their vehicles on MYGFU as of this week will have their parking permits waiting for them to sign for at Mail Services when they return to campus.
If you want to have YOURS awaiting you at Mail Services, you will need to register your vehicle on MYGFU this week! Security Services cannot guarantee that your permit will be processed and ready for you by Sept. 1, 2013 if you do not register your vehicle right away.
Please remember that even if you are NOT bringing a car to campus, you must go on MYGFU to indicate that you are not registering a vehicle. Failure to either register a vehicle, or register as not bringing a car to campus by the Add/Drop date of September 13, 2013 will result in a non-refundable charge of $40 for a parking permit being assigned to your account.
Complete instructions on how to register your vehicle are on Security Services website: security.georgefox.edu.
If your questions aren’t answered there, please don’t hesitate to contact Security Services at: 503-554-2090 or e-mail Nadine Kincaid at: nkincaid@georgefox.edu. We can’t wait to see you back on campus!
