Someone who ignited a spark that made you want to learn more than you thought you could, someone who walked alongside you during a difficult season, or a person who has been a mentor? Take a moment to write an email, e-card, or traditional “thank you†card to that professor, RA, tutor, supervisor, or other influential person. Try to be specific as you describe how this person has contributed to your life.

French club is having its final event of the year on Saturday at La Provence in Beaverton. We will meet for brunch together at 10 a.m. before we all go home for the summer. Do you have back or neck pain? Would you like to have it looked at for free while also helping out our physical therapy students? Our second-year students are looking for volunteers for Tuesday, April 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. or from 2 to 3 p.m. in the physical therapy department of the Roberts Center.

George Fox is hosting the NWC Softball Championship from Friday to Sunday, and the Morse parking lot will need to be emptied for food vendors and attendees. It will be unavailable for student and employee parking from 9 a.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. Sunday. Morse lot permit holders can park in the Le Shana lot during this time.

Introductory Mandarin I and Introductory Mandarin II will be offered in fall and spring, respectively. These courses meet students’ general education requirement for Intercultural Experience or Global/Cultural Understanding.
These are beginner level courses in Mandarin Chinese for students who have little or no previous Chinese experience. Students will gain language skills including listening, speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin Chinese as well as increase understanding and competence in Chinese culture.
