The university community is invited to a memorial service for Linda Stevens, wife of former George Fox University President Edward Stevens, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Newberg Historic Chapel, 611 N. Main St., in Newberg.

Linda Elaine (Loewenstein) Stevens died Sept. 30, in Mesa, Ariz. She was 69.

Born in Lincoln, Neb., on June 27, 1942, Linda grew up in the small farm town of Shelton, Neb. While at Nebraska Wesleyan University, she met Ed Stevens, whom she married in June of 1962.
