Join a free estate planning seminar on campus May 28

Monday, May 4th, 2026

Did you know that 65% of us will experience incapacity issues before we pass, or that 45% of Americans die without a will? Don’t let state law or complex court proceedings decide the future of your assets and well-being.

George Fox’s advancement office invites you to a free estate planning seminar to ensure your final wishes are honored and your loved ones are protected. Join us from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 28, in Canyon Commons. You can register at this link.

This comprehensive nuts-and-bolts overview will equip you with a plan to address both passing your estate and managing potential incapacity during your lifetime.

The event is being provided as a service to the community by the university and Stephen C. Palmer, attorney at law. If you have any questions, reach out to Tracy Fabel in the advancement office at tfabel@georgefox.edu or 503-554-2130.

Be aware of telehealth changes taking effect this summer

Sunday, May 3rd, 2026

Over the past two years, the university has partnered with TimelyCare to provide virtual medical and mental health services to undergraduate students and select face-to-face graduate programs based in Newberg. We are writing to inform you that this contract will conclude on May 26, 2026.

We anticipate securing a replacement telehealth provider; however, there may be a temporary gap in service availability during the summer months. This transition is primarily due to the cost of these services, which has been higher than anticipated.

We are currently in advanced discussions with two potential vendors and will provide an update as soon as a new provider is selected, including details on how to access services.

In the meantime, we wanted to ensure you are aware of the potential gap in telehealth availability this summer so you can plan accordingly.

If you have any questions, please contact the Health and Counseling Center at hcc@georgefox.edu.
