In the evening, he’ll discuss the question, “What happens when the church partners with business, charities, education, public agencies and cultural communities for the common good?” He will explore ways to connect our faith and work, our churches and communities, and our mission and the common good.

Self helps oversee major grants for the integration of faith, work and economics for the Kern Family Foundation. He is the author or coauthor of three books: The Divine Dance (2003), The Power of Faithful Focus (2004), and Flourishing Churches and Communities: A Pentecostal Primer on Faith, Work, and Economics (2013).

An ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, Self has spoken widely on the integration of faith, work and human flourishing. He is a senior advisor for the Acton Institute for Religion and Liberty.
