Items from our collections on Herbert Hoover, the Four Flats Quartet, and a land deed signed by William Penn will be on display.

We are still in need of willing volunteers to serve as ushers at spring commencement on Saturday, April 28. Take tickets at the gate, hand out programs, direct graduates’ family and friends to their seats, and help make graduation a special event for all involved.

All George Fox employees who participate as ushers will have the option to receive $50 through payroll, or take three hours off in lieu of payment! Non-George Fox volunteers will receive a gift card in the same amount.

University Advancement is pleased to offer an estate planning workshop on Thursday, April 5, at noon in Roberts Center 117. A light lunch of soup and salad will be served.

Gene Christian, a George Fox alumnus and the university’s planned giving director, will present the tools and techniques necessary to develop a loving, tax-efficient estate distribution plan. If you need further direction with your estate plan, Gene will be available after the workshop to set up individual meetings.

There is no cost to you for either the lunch workshop or the individual meeting with Gene. Please join us to learn about estate planning and your options to care for those you love with your financial resources. Spring break is a great time to get trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED usage! Only three spots remain in the class to be held on Thursday, March 29, so sign up as soon as possible on the Security Services website to secure your spot!

The class will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Newberg campus, but Portland students and employees are also welcome to sign up!
