Journalism is discussed in tonight’s LACI lecture

Sunday, March 15th, 2015

Rowe, professor emeritus from the Department of Communication and Theatre at Pacific Lutheran University. He will speak from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Hoover 105.

Rowe will address the questions, “What is the responsibility of journalists to the public, and what role does the public play in creating journalism?” and “How do we create responsible and reliable journalism?” The questions are particularly relevant in an age in which early reporting, “people on the street commentary” and social media posts and photos all contribute to information and misinformation in the news.
