On Saturday evening, the Coast to Coast Dance Club will host our weekly swing dance outside on the quad! Lesson times will be the same as usual: 6:30 p.m. (beginner lesson), 7 p.m. (intermediate lesson) and 7:30 p.m. (open dance).

Are you passionate about missions work? Wycliffe Bible Translators is an organization whose mission is to translate the Bible into every person’s spoken language. More than 1,600 languages around the world still need Bible translation, and Wycliffe is working to reduce that number.

If you are interested in learning more about or contributing to that mission, Alan Wymore, a Wycliffe recruiter who spent 10 years working for the organization in Colombia, will be on campus today (Friday) to talk with students about opportunities to serve with the organization. Wycliffe has long-term missionary opportunities as well as short-term internship opportunities. Check their website for more info.

Alan will be in Canyon Commons from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so stop by his table to learn more!

The Math Lab is now open! If you need help in any math class, please come see our Math Lab employees anytime between Sunday and Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. in Lemmons 15, and they will be happy to give you some extra help.

Do you want to practice Spanish conversation? Bring your lunch to the Spanish table and practice speaking with Erick Torres. Erick will be the one at the table with the Maya calendar. This is casual and fun conversation without any pressure!

The table will be open between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Canyon Commons each Friday in September, as well as on Oct. 13, 20 and 27, Nov. 3, 10 and 17, and Dec. 1 and 8.

The world needs people who are capable of understanding web traffic data and how it can spark business. George Fox’s Google Analytics Lab will give you the opportunity to advance your skills with a tangible, free certification in Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is an online data analysis tool that is helpful to receive greater insight on users’ digital behavior. You will receive firsthand understanding in learning the tools from the university’s director of digital strategy, Rob Leslie. The first weekly meeting is on Monday, Sept. 11, at 5:30 p.m. in Roberts 101.

Bruin Bites is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Are you first aid-trained and certified? If so, we need you to volunteer to work at the first aid tent during the six home football games this season!

Two volunteers are needed for each home game, so if you can do all or some of them, please contact Mark Stone at 503-554-2090 or e-mail him at mstone@georgefox.edu.

The dates of the games are Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept. 30 (a 7 p.m. game), Oct. 14, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.

Come try out for the George Fox dance team! We’re hosting tryouts from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Friday) in Wheeler 211.

We are looking for ambitious, energetic and dedicated ladies and gentlemen trained in jazz and hip-hop. Dance team will be performing at basketball game halftimes, supporting George Fox athletics, and engaging with the community in a variety of ways. Come join us!

We are still accepting applications for the 2017-18 Winter Spil trip to Nepal (estimated Dec. 27, 2017 to Jan. 6, 2018). This particular trip will be a time of intense exposure to people and local missionaries who have experienced extreme disaster following multiple earthquakes in 2015 and more recently severe flooding in 2017.

Commuter Life invites our married, parent and veteran George Fox students and their families to a picnic in the park. Spouses and children are encouraged to attend.

The picnic will be in the large shelter at Newberg’s Jaquith Park near the playground equipment on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. The park is located at 1215 N. College St. We ask each family bring a dish to share.
