Free conference coming to campus for politically interested students

Sunday, September 10th, 2017

Are you a politically interested student? Do you have opinions on income inequality, immigration and legislating morality? Have you wondered about the future of the political right post 2016? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, join students from around the Pacific Northwest on Sept. 15-16 for a free weekend of conversation, debate, professional development and delicious food!

At the conference, seven thoughtful libertarians and conservatives from around the nation will address these three major policy areas and the future of the political right. Students will be invited to ask questions, discuss presentations and debate these issues with speakers and with each other. The conference will conclude with representatives from four major conservative and libertarian organizations describing programs, internships and scholarships they offer that can help college students jumpstart their careers.

You do NOT have to be a conservative or libertarian to come to this event, and students from all backgrounds and perspectives are welcome. We invite all students to enter into a robust but polite dialogue about these important issues as we look to the future.

Registration is free and includes meals! Travel scholarships are available for students traveling to George Fox University’s Newberg campus, so spread the word! For more details and to register, click this link.

Sunday, September 10th, 2017

Please join us this morning (Monday) at 9 a.m. at the Centennial Tower for a moment of prayer in honor of those affected by the events of 9/11/2001.

Please be sure to park only where your parking permit allows

Sunday, September 10th, 2017

Please begin parking immediately in the areas where your parking permit allows, as ticketing has already begun! Vehicles with Austin and Morse permits can park only in those two lots. Resident East, Resident West, Graduate and Commuter parking areas are very street and lot specific, so be sure to look at your parking brochure and keep it in your car so you will know where else to go in case your first choice is not available.

All registered vehicles must have either a parking permit affixed on the exterior of the rear of the vehicle (preferably the lower-left corner of the rear window) or a temporary permit on the dashboard. If your permit and parking brochure haven’t arrived yet, please check out the parking brochure on the security web pages or come to the security office to see one.
