Interested in taking a class that is completed in just three weeks time? Or try a class online through George Fox this summer? These opportunities can help you lighten your load during the regular school year or “catch up” to maintain pace for graduation. Both May Term and summer online classes offer a great opportunity to complete course credit without the distraction of other classes at the same time. In addition, the tuition for these classes is half the normal per credit rate during fall and spring. There are still many classes with available space. Check out class.georgefox.edu for a list of classes offered each term (choose May Term 2010 or Summer Term 2010).
Since May Term classes are offered at the discretion of instructors, it is important that you register for May Term by Friday, April 16, so instructors can determine if enough students are enrolled; otherwise, a class may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If you have questions about the applicability of a class to your degree requirements, feel free to contact your enrollment counselor for more information.
Help is still needed for the Empty Bowls for Haiti event scheduled for Friday, April 16, in the Klages Dining Hall.

Sign up on the spreadsheet outside of the ASC offices or e-mail your name to Krissy Findley (kfindley@georgefox.edu) by Thursday, April 8.
Many different types of volunteer opportunities are available! Your help is much appreciated for a great cause.
To learn more about the event, visit georgefox.edu/empty-bowls/index.html.
This is a good time to check your information in the Bruin Directory and get any omissions or errors cleaned up. We get our photos from the IT department, where your ID is made, so if you would like a different photo, you need to contact them.
Other directory information comes from the registrar’s office, which sends us a report on the 10th day of classes in the fall. Whatever information is current at that time is what gets published. Contact the office at ext. 2210 if you have changes or questions concerning your entry.
All other questions may be directed to Janelle Olivarez, Bruin Directory editorial advisor, at ext. 2124.
