Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a public lecture with Bob Moore of Bob’s Red Mill products at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Hoover 105.
Bob with his wife, Charlee, opened a one-of-a-kind business in an old mill building near historic Oregon City in 1978 to provide healthy grain products using stone-grinding flour mills. On Feb. 15, 2010, Bob’s 81st birthday, Bob surprised his employees by giving them total ownership of Bob’s Red Mill through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
Today, the employee-owned business is located in Milwaukie, Ore., and produces thousands of products for store shelves in 71 countries around the world. Come hear Bob share from his book People Before Profit and receive an inspiring story from the man behind this flourishing business.
