Help homeless students in the Newberg School District by donating your old backpacks between March 19 and March 23! You can drop them off in the Stevens Center, the Hoover Academic Building, Canyon Commons or the Bruin Den.

This summer, the university’s physical therapy department is taking a medical service trip to Ghana and Uganda to serve a diverse and less privileged community. To help raise money for the trip, we’re hosting a banquet on Saturday, April 7, at 5 p.m. in Canyon Commons.
Tickets are $25 and include dinner and a silent auction. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Warren Ocano at wocano@georgefox.edu or call 510-468-2056. You may also come by the physical therapy department in the Roberts Center and ask for Warren.

Canyon Commons Dining
The Bruin Den and Bridge Cafe will be closing at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 23, and the Bruin Bites will be closed. All cafes will be closed during spring break and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, April 2.
Calling all student dancers (undergraduate and graduate students): Tryouts for the 2018-19 George Fox dance team, which performs at football and basketball home games, are set from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, in Wheeler 211.

Today (Thursday)Â is the next meeting of the monthly event series Koinonia! At Koinonia, we learn about and celebrate the many cultures represented in our student body. This month we will gather for rich discussions, delicious food and awesome activities in partnership with International Organization!
The purpose of International Organization is to provide opportunities for students, both domestic and international, to come together through events and activities. It has a vision for helping students develop relationships and learn about other cultures while reinforcing the idea of a global village.

As a chapel elective opportunity, an open worship experience will be held every Thursday until the end of the semester, allowing for quiet waiting on God, vocal ministry if moved by the Spirit, and praying for one another upon sharing prayer requests. All are welcome.

Register for the new Spanish class offered for next spring: Spanish for the Professions. This class is offered to those majoring and minoring in business, accounting, law, law enforcement, politics, Christian ministries, education, etc. It will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 1:50 p.m.
All students will use a common basic text and then break out into their area groups for more specific practice. Incoming students should have completed SPAN202 or the equivalent. Professor David MartÃnez will be teaching this course.
