Starting tomorrow (Friday), Canopy, our Employee Assistance Program provider, is becoming Revive. This is a name and look change only. Your services, support team, and how you get help will stay exactly the same.
The company name, colors, and logo are changing, along with a new member portal website address: canopy.myrevive.health.
Everything else will remain the same. Same phone number, same services, and the same free, confidential support available 24/7. No action needs to be taken on your part.

People from across the political spectrum describe themselves as patriotic. But they often have trouble seeing each other as patriotic. Come to a Community Conversation in Canyon Commons at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to get a chance to listen to – and talk to – people who think of patriotism differently.
Clarify where we all agree and where we disagree, and why. Come away better able to recognize when others are being patriotic, better able to join with others in love for our country, and better able to fairly and accurately articulate the differences among us.
For more information, contact Ron Mock at civility@georgefox.edu.

The women of the George Fox community (staff, faculty and administrators, as well as female spouses) are invited to the Fall Ladies’ Luncheon on Monday, Oct. 5, hosted by Ruth Baker from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Canyon Commons 101–103.
This year’s theme, “Rooted to Flourish,” draws from Psalm 1:2-3 and the picture of a life rooted in God’s Word, continually nourished and bearing fruit in its season. Our purpose flows from our rootedness.
We are delighted to welcome Faith Carter as our guest speaker for a short devotional and prayer at noon. Faith is a retired educator and pastor who has served in women’s ministry and local and global outreach. She and her husband, Don, continue to serve the George Fox community, with Don serving as chair of the university’s board of trustees.
Come enjoy a delicious meal, connect with other women in our community, and spend time reflecting on what it means to be rooted in the Lord and flourish in every season.
Please use this form to RSVP.

If a student is injured, whether working as a student employee or during a university event, a university employee must immediately:
- Email People & Culture at peopleandculture@georgefox.edu (if the injury happened while the student was working).
- Submit a Fox 360 Student Update as a “frontline user” as soon as possible.
- Once this form is submitted, it will be dispatched by our student care coordinator and communicated to the necessary teams for follow-up. If in doubt, it is better to submit a report than miss the opportunity to support the student effectively!
Criteria for submitting an accident or injury report include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Injury beyond a minor bump or scrape
- Injury involving blood
- Head trauma or concussion
- Chemical exposure
- Loss of consciousness
- Heat-related issues
- Any accident or injury involving a call to 911, an ambulance, or Campus Public Safety
- Critical injury
- Death
When a student is injured and if you are a trained first aid/CPR provider, please offer assistance; however, everyone needs to follow these steps:
- Dial or have someone dial 911. Give the location of the injured student and send someone to meet them at the door(s) for the building.
- Dial or have someone dial Campus Public Safety (503-554-2090).
- Send someone to get the closest first aid kit and the AED. All buildings with hearts have AEDs or first aid kits available.
- Follow first aid and CPR training until Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue arrives.
If you wish to become a trained first aid/ CPR provider, reach out to Kim Knoernschild at kknorschild@georgefox.edu. For questions about Fox 360 Care submissions, email Jere Witherspoon at jwitherspoon@georgefox.edu
