If a student is injured, whether working as a student employee or during a university event, a university employee must immediately:

1. Email People & Culture at peopleandculture@georgefox.edu (if the injury happened while the student was working).
2. Submit a Fox 360 Student Update as a “frontline user” as soon as possible.
3. Once this form is submitted, it will be dispatched by our student care coordinator and communicated to the necessary teams for follow-up. If in doubt, it is better to submit a report than miss the opportunity to support the student effectively!

Criteria for submitting an accident or injury report include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Injury beyond a minor bump or scrape
• Injury involving blood
• Head trauma or concussion
• Chemical exposure
• Loss of consciousness
• Heat-related issues
• Any accident or injury involving a call to 911, an ambulance, or Campus Public Safety
• Critical injury
• Death

When a student is injured and if you are a trained first aid/CPR provider, please offer assistance; however, everyone needs to follow these steps:

1. Dial or have someone dial 911. Give the location of the injured student and send someone to meet them at the door(s) for the building.
2. Dial or have someone dial Campus Public Safety (503-554-2090).
3. Send someone to get the closest first aid kit and the AED. All buildings with hearts have AEDs or first aid kits available.
4. Follow first aid and CPR training until Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue arrives.

The north section of the Morse parking lot is now officially open! If you have a Morse parking permit and live on the east side of campus, you must move your car to this lot.

Does this apply to you? Yes, if you hold a Morse permit and live in any of these dorms:

• Brandt
• Gulley
• Hobson
• Le Shana
• Macy
• Newlin
• Sutton

New rules & citation warning:

• Where to park:
  You are now only allowed to park in the Morse lot during school hours.
• Where NOT to park:
  Do not park in designated Resident, Commuter, Graduate or Staff lots. Do not park on the street or at 310 Villa.
• Ticket warning: Campus Public Safety will start issuing citations/tickets today for cars parked in the wrong spots.

How to get there:

• Current entrance: Use the entrance on Villa Road to access the open north section.
• Coming in October: The rest of the lot will open next month, which will add a second entrance/exit on Fulton Street.

NOTE: Students living on the west side of campus with a Morse permit can continue to park in any resident parking spaces until the rest of the Morse lot is completed in October.

Love to dance? Looking to try something new? The George Fox Dance Team is hosting an open workshop this Monday, Sept. 21, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hadlock’s larger studio.

Open workshops will happen once a month and are drop-in attendance with no commitment. You can come only once, or you can join us every month.

During this month’s workshop, you’ll participate in a quick warm-up and learn a short piece of lyrical/contemporary choreography, so bring your friends and enjoy a fun night of dancing.
