Join the excitement of spring commencement as a volunteer

Thursday, March 21st, 2024

We are looking for several volunteers to serve as ushers at spring undergraduate commencement on Saturday, April 27. There will be two separate ceremonies again this year.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 11 a.m.: Cultural & Wellness Enterprises and Adult Degree Program Ceremony
  • 3 p.m.: Industrial Enterprise Ceremony

This format allows for a more personalized and celebratory atmosphere for our graduates and their families, and like last year, we are calling for “all-community” participation. What a thrill it is to see graduates, their families, and friends come together to celebrate!

Volunteers are vital to the smooth execution of the day’s events and help make the day memorable for our graduates and their guests. This event could not happen without you!

Staff members, please sign up for a time to serve in one of the two ceremonies. A $50 stipend or three hours of time-off (with supervisor approval) is available for those employees not already scheduled to work. Non-employees who volunteer will receive a $50 gift card.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve! Questions? Contact Laurie Fair at lfair@georgefox.edu.
