Richter Scholars program proposals are due Monday, Oct. 18.

If you are interested in doing research with a faculty mentor, attend the Richter informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. in Hoover 105 to learn more about the program. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible.

The Richter Scholars program at George Fox distributes funds to support student research activities that are devised, initiated and carried out by individual student researchers, with mentorship, guidance, and expertise provided by a faculty mentor.

The purpose of these funds is to support educational research opportunities that encourage the practices of independent thought leading to independent achievement and personal responsibility. Before preparing a proposal, please read through the full proposal guidelines, eligibility requirements, and review criteria through this link.

*Faculty mentors: Please note that several important proposal elements and eligibility requirements have been recently updated. Please thoroughly read through all posted documentation as you work with your student mentee to prepare a proposal. Submittals will be electronic.

Bruin Brigade football game volunteers needed

Monday, August 23rd, 2021

It takes a village to make our football games a success. Interested in a volunteer opportunity to serve our awesome Bruin football fans? Then Bruin Brigade is the place for you!

The Bruin Brigade is a team of volunteers who help at the ticket tent, gates and in the parking lots directing traffic prior to every home game. The team arrives two hours prior to kickoff and are free to enjoy the rest of the game starting at halftime. All volunteers will receive a meal prior to each game they volunteer, free entry into the second half, and a T-shirt.

If this sounds like something you would like to help with, please email Mindy Mickelson in the athletics department at mmickelson@georgefox.edu with your first and last name, the games you can volunteer, and your T-shirt size.

Please note: We are asking for a three-game commitment to receive a T-shirt. Volunteers working the gates will need to be willing to use their phone to scan in tickets through the HomeTown Gate app (free on app store). Wi-Fi is available at the gates.
