Are you searching for a summer job and like to be outdoors? Do you want to work with your hands and learn how we keep the George Fox Newberg campus looking so beautiful? If so, we have an opportunity for you!
The Plant Services grounds department has five openings for a summer groundskeeping job. That’s a solid 40 hours per week working in the great outdoors.
Interested applicants can either apply through Handshake or stop by the Thomas Center to drop off their summer applications directly.
Questions can be directed to the Plant Services office at 503-554-2010.
Is there someone at George Fox who has made a difference in your college experience? Did someone ignite a spark that made you want to learn more than you thought you could, someone who walked alongside you during a difficult season, or a person who has been a mentor?
Take a moment to write an email, e-card, or traditional thank-you card to that professor, coach, RA, tutor, supervisor, or other influential person. Stop by the ARC in the library to pick up a free blank card, or send or create your own.
Questions? Contact Julia James at jjames@georgefox.edu.
College Pro is currently hiring painters for those sticking around for the summer. The painter role is a fun and challenging position, ideal for someone wanting to get hands-on work experience and make money over the summer.
Painters will work outside with a crew of two to three people. Working with friends is encouraged, so apply together if you wish! Training is provided; therefore, no experience is necessary

As we approach the end of the spring semester, we know it seems strange to be thinking about undergraduate student Welcome Weekend when it is still four months away! However, we want to let you know about some changes in the schedule that may affect your planning.
There were a variety of reasons for these changes, but we believe this will serve our incoming students and families very well! Of course, our goal is always for us to show tremendous hospitality and welcome to these new members of our community. We will post the schedule on our Welcome Weekend website when it is finalized.
If you have questions about how this change will impact you or your department, please contact Stephanie St. Cyr (sstcyr@georgefox.edu) or Bill Buhrow (bbuhrow@georgefox.edu).
