BPPV for the Clinician
The School of Physical Therapy invites the university community to hear Dr. Diane Wrisley, PT, PhD, NCS to George Fox University this Thursday, March 13, 5pm – 7 pm in Hoover 105.  She will be speaking about benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, a disorder affecting balance.
Dr. Wrisley received her BS in physical therapy from the University at Buffalo, a MS from Old Dominion University and a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Her research interests include the use of sensory information for balance and novel techniques in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular and balance dysfunction.
Dr. Wrisley is one of PT’s finest educators.  Some of the learning objectives for the lecture are:
•    Briefly describe the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system
•    Briefly describe the pathophysiology of BPPV
•    Describe the evaluation and intervention techniques for BPPV
•    Relate new findings in the evaluation and treatment for BPPV
