Come to Lemmons 8 for ‘Of Gods and Men’ movie tonight

March 18th, 2017

Join host Paul Anderson for a Sunday evening movie night to watch and discuss Of Gods and Men. Join us from 7 to 9:30 p.m. tonight (Sunday) in Lemmons 8. Elective chapel credit is available for students.

Of Gods and Men tells the true story of Trappist monks whose members live among the Muslim population in a quiet corner of Algeria. As the country is plunged into civil war in the mid-1990s, the men of God must decide whether to stay among the impoverished residents who have been their neighbors, or flee the encroaching fundamentalist terrorists. The situation that unfolds, based on actual events, has tragic consequences.

Survey: LGBT+ Acceptance

March 16th, 2017

This survey is for a sociology major’s senior thesis project.

LGBT+ rights is a huge hot topic in the United States, and has been a topic of great interest on the George Fox campus. My research focuses on opinions in the following areas: opinions about the nature, the origins, and the social norms and laws regarding LGBT+, and there will be a few questions about respondent demographics.

Opinions on this matter may be divided on this campus, but which opinions prevail? How do the opinions relate to each other? This survey will take about 10-15 minutes.

Survey: LGBT + Acceptance

Thank you
