Public lecture on ‘Christian Hospitality and Immigration’ is this Thursday

April 1st, 2018

The William Penn Honors Program invites you to hear theologian and ethicist Matthew Kaemingk present a thought-provoking Christian perspective on the growing debates over Muslim presence in the West. Rejecting both fearful nationalism and romantic multiculturalism, Kaemingk makes the case for a third way — a Christian pluralism that is committed to both the historic Christian faith and the public rights, dignity and freedom of Islam.

The lecture is Thursday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Canyon Commons 101-103 and is free and open to the public.

Please send any questions to Jocelyn Stein at jstein@georgefox.edu.

Card game developer seeks digital illustrator for project

April 1st, 2018

A George Fox student developing a card game is seeking a student well-versed in graphic/digital illustration (Photoshop, Illustrator) to create card, character and box art for the card game.

Plans call for the product to go on Kickstarter next year. This would be a good opportunity for art majors to expand their portfolio. There will be monetary compensation for the work, given that it is a large project. It will be a bonus if you know about strategy card games.

Contact Brandon Seeger at bseeger15@georgefox.edu to find out more about this project.
