In this fun and interactive program, Bon Appetit chefs and educators will turn Canyon Commons into a hands-on cooking class for kids, demonstrating how fruits and vegetables can be transformed into a healthy meal. You are welcome to accompany your child during the program, or you can leave him/her with us and use the time for your own productivity. If you choose to leave, we encourage you to join us for our “Healthy Kids Picnic†during the final 20 minutes of the program.
This workshop is free but space is limited; please register here. Questions? Contact Francie Gilmer at fgilmer@georgefox.edu.

The George Fox University community is invited to a business lecture on Friday, Feb. 22, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Canyon Commons Room 101.
This special lecture will be given by Ms. Phuong Uyen Tran, deputy CEO of Tan Hiep Phat (THP) and author of Competing with Giants: How One Family-Owned Company Took on the Multinationals and Won. Ms. Tran leads THP in procurement, marketing, public relations and programs on social responsibility, and is a strong supporter of family-owned businesses and women in entrepreneurship.
In a modern-day “David and Goliath” story, THP – Ms. Tran’s family’s Vietnamese green tea company – said no to Coca-Cola’s $2.5 billion buyout offer and subsequently flourished into a billion-dollar business. Highlighting the leadership qualities and values her family held onto while weighing Coca-Cola’s buyout offer, she will show how this decision propelled the company to strong global growth while still recognizing and adapting to local consumer preferences.
Questions? Contact Allie Duncan at aduncan@georgefox.edu.
