Come try out an ancient-future sport that’s sort of like baseball, but not: There are five bases, you can steal first base whenever you want, you can peg the runners, there are no timeouts, and there are no foul balls.

In honor of Native American History Month, the Intercultural Resource Center is hosting a Mathetes panel to discuss the untold histories of Native communities. Join us in Canyon Commons on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation (SCORR) trip is an opportunity for students engaged in conversations surrounding diversity to attend the SCORR conference at Biola University in February.

The cohort of students selected to be on the SCORR trip will learn how to challenge perceptions, to engage in reconciliation, and will be equipped with tools to navigate difficult conversations surrounding diversity topics.

The Wineskin is extending its deadline for submissions! The theme for this semester will be IDENTITY. However, there is no need to be bound by the theme – just send us your best poems, stories, essays and artwork.

The editors are open to a wide range of styles and subject matter, but we are particularly looking for work that pushes boundaries and surprises us with its artistic approach and perspective of the world.

Please submit all poetry, prose, photography, and artwork to gfuwineskin@gmail.com. Our submission guidelines are as follows:

• Poetry and prose manuscripts must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document in Times New Roman with a 12-point font. Title your pieces and remove your name from the document.
• Limit all prose to 1,000 words and send no more than five poems per submission.
• For artwork, files should be named with the title of your piece, followed by your name. Remove all watermarks from your work.

Students in an entrepreneurship class are trying to develop a parking monitoring system that commuters could view before coming to campus. This system would utilize Google Nest cameras to enable students to have a view of the parking lot before they arrive.

The goal of this service is to minimize the amount of time students spend looking for spots and minimize parking offenses. We would love for commuters to fill out this quick survey so that we can best meet your needs and make it as useful as we can for you.

Google is urging Chrome users to upgrade to an updated version of the Chrome browser due to a recent security threat that makes users vulnerable to computer hijacking. You can read more about the threat here.

You can update to the latest version of Chrome (version 78.0.3904.87) by opening the web browser, selecting “Preferences,” and selecting “About Chrome” from the left menu. This will automatically update Chrome (if automatic updates are turned on) or give you the option to select the update.

This is a five-lesson, asynchronous, online course that is free to all George Fox employees and can be completed on your own time. The course is ready for you to start as soon as you’d like!
