In the latest installment of the seminary’s “Hope in the Midst of Crisis” devotional series, Dan Brunner reflects on Luther’s Theology of the Cross and on the fact an incarnational God has descended into the reality of this world. In our quiet grief, God meets us with glimmers of hope.
You can watch it here.

Here at the Disability Services Office, we know that transition to an online/remote learning environment is not easy. Some students find that physical, mental health, or other disability-related barriers that were manageable in an in-person class are barriers in a distance scenario.
If you find that you need academic accommodations in the remote education environment, please visit our website or apply online. Contact our office (dso@georgefox.edu), Rick Muthiah (rmuthiah@georgefox.edu), or Andrea Byerley (abyerley@georgefox.edu) if you have questions.

Student Accounts is now processing personal checks through my.georgefox.edu. This payment method allows for swift, secure and safe payment handling. An added benefit is that payments generate a receipt to the student that can be forwarded to whomever made payment on their account.Â
To make future payments online directly, please visit our website to learn how and to authorize access for others to make payments on your behalf. You will find that once the bank account information is saved, the payment process is very quick. No fee is charged for submitting e-check payments. Thank you for helping us in this way!
This change impacts personal check payments only. Other payments require customary handling and will experience a slight delay.
Contact Jenny Getsinger (jgetsing@georgefox.edu) if you have any questions.

Finance has a drop box located to the left of the front door that can be used for most business coming into the department. This may be more convenient for all of us while the buildings on campus are locked. We are here processing transactions, and we will check that box several times during the day.
Please be sure to secure your documents in an envelope. The information submitted should include your contact information so we can reach you if we have questions.
Questions? Contact Cris Banton at cbanton@georgefox.edu.
Thank you,

Until further notice, the Bruin Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, by appointment only. This is so that we can honor the social distancing guidelines and have enough time between customers to deep-clean surfaces. Please call the store at 503-554-2540 to set up an appointment time.
We are doing a few other things to help our customers stay home and stay safe:
- Shipping is free for all online orders, with no minimum purchase, and we are shipping orders out daily.
- We are cleaning and quarantining all rental books as they are checked back in, and they are not being put out for sale immediately.
- We will have a few racks of professional clothing from The Closet Project set up in-store for appointments as well. At this time those purchases are still cash-only, and we are taking extra precautions regarding all cash handling.
- All leftover T-shirts from The Closet Project pop-up that were 100% cotton were donated to those who are making masks for the local hospitals. Nearly 90 T-shirts were donated, and many have already been sewn into masks and re-donated to our medical community.
We will be providing updates via the Daily Bruin and on Instagram (@the_bruin_store). Questions? Contact Paige Jacobs at pjacobs@georgefox.edu.
