The Hadlock Student Center intramurals program is hosting a running, cycling and walking/hiking challenge during the month of May. The individuals that log the most minutes for the entire month (there will be three separate groups) will win the respective championship. Depending on the number of sign-ups, we may have separate categories for students and faculty/staff.
Whether you run, ride or walk/hike really fast, or you’re just getting out for some exercise and cruising, the winners will be determined not by speed but by the total number of minutes for the entire month of May.
For more information and to sign up, go to imleagues.com. Questions? Email studentcenter@georgefox.edu.

As you can imagine, this semester has been very disruptive to graduating seniors. Commencement will not take place on Saturday, May 2, as originally planned. Instead, the university will celebrate the graduates virtually that day, and a plan is in place for an in-person celebration on Saturday, Aug. 15.
We know this change is disappointing for our graduates. Fortunately, there is something tangible we can do to encourage them, and we’d love for you to be a part of it. Help us create a congratulations video montage that will be shared with Bruins virtually! It’s a simple yet powerful way to spread a little cheer during this tough time.
Here’s how to send your message:
- With your phone in landscape mode (turned sideways), record a three- to five-second message of “Congratulations!”, “We’re proud of you!” or “Good luck!”
- Email your video to alumni@georgefox.edu.
- Include your name and graduation year in the email.
- Send it in by the end of today (Thursday).
Your clip will be shared with graduating Bruins on Saturday, May 2. Thank you for encouraging the Class of 2020 during this difficult transition! Questions? Contact Sara Reamy at sreamy@georgefox.edu.

A George Fox alumna, JeanneAnn Farris, and a current student, Nicola Pieper, have created a play called International. A free play reading will be performed via Zoom tonight (Wednesday) at 7:30 p.m.
International is a play that explores the challenges and experiences of people who identify with more than one country. It delves into the struggles of identity in country, identity in the Christian faith, and the clashes and correlation of the two in relation to one another. It’s a compiling of interviews, most of which are associated with students and faculty of George Fox University.
If you’re interested, would like to know more, or would like the link to the Zoom session, email internationalstagedreading@gmail.com.
