Did you notice pink balloons around campus yesterday? That’s because PinkZone is right around the corner this Saturday, Jan. 31! All Bruin basketball fans are encouraged to wear pink as they support both the university’s talented athletes and the worldwide efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.
To help fight this deadly disease, the university will donate half of the night’s ticket sales to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Both teams will battle Linfield, with the women’s game tipping off at 4 p.m. and the men directly following at 6 p.m. Don’t miss this night full of fun, rivalry and lots of pink! Students and employees can attend the game for free with a university ID card.
During the halftimes, we’ll take a moment to recognize our 2013-14 Northwest Conference Championship teams – the women’s track team and women’s golf squad. We’ll also recognize all of the senior women athletes who have proudly worn the blue and gold during their university careers.
