Who’s on campus this week …

Sunday, July 19th, 2015

The Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends (NWYM) is holding its annual church conference here this week. This is the longest-running summer conference at George Fox. The NWYM is a community of evangelical Friends churches who join together in worship and service to impact society through love in action.

The Chinese Evangelical Church Retreat arrives for its annual event on Friday, July 24. Several Chinese churches from Oregon and Washington gather together each summer to worship together and share what God is doing in and through their congregations.

Please contact the conference and event office if you have questions (503-554-2027).

Vehicle registration is coming soon

Thursday, July 16th, 2015

Many of you have been asking when the vehicle registration will be available on MyGFU, and the answer is: end of July! The final touches and testing are being done on the new registration portal, and if all goes well it will go live around the last week of July.

We will be announcing it via The Daily Bruin and also on the security services’ Facebook page, so stay tuned! It will require a little bit more information than before, so be sure and have your vehicle registration printout from the DMV in front of you when you begin registering.

  • All employees will need to put in their campus PO box numbers on the second address line, as your permits will be sent there.
  • Students will need to choose a mailing address, as the permits will be mailed to whichever mailing address you indicate (home, campus PO box, off-campus housing).
  • All employees and adjuncts will need to re-register their vehicles, as new, sturdier hang tags will be issued to everybody (this summer’s and previous versions are void as of August).

Instructions will be on the vehicle registration link, so stay tuned for the date it is ready to receive vehicle registrations. Portland Center employees will need to register if they are frequently on the Newberg campus.

Questions? Have an outside-the-box vehicle situation? Call security during business hours at 503-554-2090, or e-mail Nadine Kincaid at nkincaid@georgefox.edu.
