Here are some answers to some of the questions that security has received about vehicle registration, parking permit pick-up, and where your permit allows you to park.
- Even if you registered a vehicle last year, you still need to register it every year.
- The vehicle registration link is located on the homepage of MyGFU and is found underneath “GFU Resources.”
- You will need your DMV registration card or insurance card in front of you, as the registration process needs information from those cards.
- Have a new car and don’t have the license plates yet? Just input the temporary trip permit number into the license plate field when you register. When you get your plates, email the number to Nadine Kincaid at nkincaid@georgefox.edu and she will override the database and put the correct plate numbers on your registration in lieu of your temporary trip permit.
- Married students should have one spouse register both cars to avoid being charged as two separate students.
- Commuters can register up to two cars, and are only charged for one, but they must be YOUR family’s cars, not your roommate or friends’ vehicles.
- If you live on campus, input your campus address and PO box number as your mailing address. You will sign for your permit at Mail Services; it will NOT show up in your PO box.
- Commuters can input the address that they commute from as their mailing address, or use their campus address and PO box number.
- Here is a copy of the parking brochure/map that you can print out until your permit arrives
- Please print out the temporary permit from the link that will be emailed to you upon registration completion, and place that on your dashboard until your permit arrive.
Questions? Out-of-the-box vehicle situation? Call 503-554-2090 or email Nadine Kincaid at nkincaid@georgefox.edu.

To apply, submit a cover letter to kgriffith@georgefox.edu explaining what you have to offer and what you want to learn, a resume, and either a personal website or three examples of finished work.

We hope you are enjoying the new dining experience in Canyon Commons. We want to make you aware of a few things about this new space.
Students on a meal plan or using flex dollars can enter and eat in the main dining area, but cannot take food into the Bridge Cafe, as there is limited seating. Commuters or students not on a meal plan may eat their own meals in the Bridge Cafe, outside of the dining hall, or anywhere else on campus, including the Bruin Den and the Foxhole.
Please contact the Office of Student Life if you have any questions or concerns.

Effective July 1, the MLRC and Portland Center libraries are now only accepting debit and credit cards to purchase print cards. No more digging in your pockets or wallet for that extra change to purchase a print card. You can now purchase the print card you need with your debit/credit card. The library will accept cash or checks for other library purchases.
All IT purchases are now paid with a debit or credit card. They not only accept your debit or credit card, but Apple and Android Pay is also available. So if you need a new ID card, power adapter or to pay for those unexpected repair parts, you will no longer need to provide cash or a check. Just put it on the card.
Please note: ID cards will no longer be charged to student accounts.
Questions? Contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@georgefox.edu.

- Growing in ability as a musician using handbells and a variety of musical styles and techniques
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at barefootcomposer@gmail.com. Otherwise, I hope to see you Thursday!
Sincerely,
– Chris Reed, Director
