Survey: Drinking at a Dry University

Monday, March 13th, 2017

Hello fellow George Fox students!

What are your thoughts about the alcohol policy at George Fox? For my senior thesis, I am conducting research on undergraduate students’ attitudes and behaviors regarding alcohol and student drinking at George Fox. With this research, I hope to engage the George Fox community in an honest and open discussion about the current alcohol policy and its role at the university.

Please consider participating in my survey (link below). I would be sincerely grateful.

Beals’ lecture on the American Dream is tonight in Hoover 105

Join us for a Liberal Arts and Critical Issues presentation tonight (Monday), when Corwynn Beals, professor of philosophy and religion at George Fox, presents “The American Dream: Wanted Dead or Alive” in Hoover 105. The same presentation will be made from 5 to 6 p.m. and from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Some say the American Dream is dead – that it is no longer equally possible for all to work hard for true freedom. Others reached “The Dream” and found their soul died along the way. Beals will take a hard look at the status of “The  Dream” and see what people are doing who say that “The Dream” (and their soul) is still alive.

The theme for this semester’s LACI series is “The Future of the American Dream.” For more information, contact Laurie Fair at lfair@georgefox.edu.
