The house is located at 604 Brandon Dr., in Newberg. Mark 2 Ministries strives to empower our “friends” (individuals living with disabilities) to live and work in a community environment that values the gifts that each individual offers for the betterment of the whole. Commuters: Please register your second car in the security office

Tuesday, August 8th, 2017

Commuters: If you switch cars with your spouse, or drive more than one family-owned car to school, you will need to register your second car in the security office.

The database is set up to issue permits to only one car per commuter, so please bring your DMV registration slip to the security office during office hours to register your second car, and you will receive the permit for that car in the office. Just a reminder that your second car registration can’t be your roommate’s car, your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s car, etc.; it must be a family-owned vehicle!

Please register as soon as possible and use the address that you will be commuting from, or your campus address and box number for your “mailing address” so you will receive your permit by the start of school.

Be sure to close windows and blinds during heat wave

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017

As temperatures remain hot today through the weekend, be sure to keep your windows and blinds closed during the day. This will prevent your space from heating to the outside temperature.

And remember that temperatures are only supposed to get to about 70 degrees at night, so leaving your windows open overnight may not help cool things down. Use your best judgement to determine if doing so helps your situation.

Employees: If you are experiencing issues with your building’s air conditioning, please call Plant Services immediately.

Survey allows you to weigh in on transit needs in county

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017

What do you hope to see when it comes to public transportation in the Yamhill County area? The Yamhill County Transit Area (YCTA) is hosting a survey to get your input.

The YCTA provides fixed-route, commuter, and/or dial-a-ride services to 10 communities across the county, with connections to Grand Ronde, Hillsboro, Salem and Tigard. YCTA is working on a transit development plan to analyze existing transit service, envision future service, and develop strategies to address both current and future needs. More information is available here.

Your responses to the questions on this survey will help YCTA identify transit needs in Yamhill County and help shape the recommendations of the plan. All responses to this survey will be kept strictly confidential.

Monday, July 31st, 2017

Have you seen the weather forecast? Temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees the middle part of this week, so Plant Services recommends you take precautions to ensure your office or living area doesn’t get too hot.

Use your best judgement to determine if doing so helps your situation.
