State of Oregon vehicle registration fees going up on Jan. 1

Tuesday, December 5th, 2017

If you have purchased a car in Oregon this past summer or fall, and have yet to register it with the State of Oregon DMV, please do so before Dec. 31, as registration and title fees are rising on Jan. 1!

If it has already been 30 days since you’ve purchased a vehicle and you have yet to register it, the DMV adds a $25 late fee. If it has been more than 60 days since you purchased the vehicle and you haven’t registered it, the late fee is $50 plus the registration fee and title fee. So, save yourself some money and get your cars registered within 29 days after purchase, and take care of it before year’s end.
