“Do you have any plans for the weekend?†your friend asks. “Oh, just lots of homework,†you reply, with a laugh. STEM students have a bit of a reputation for always having massive quantities of homework and assignments to complete.
If you are one of those students, please consider taking a couple of minutes to complete this brief (< 5 minute) survey regarding your study habits and motivation.
The survey is a part of a project for MATH 240 and will serve to inquire into such questions as: “Do engineers spend more time studying than science majors?â€, “How does the desire to attend graduate school affect the motivation of STEM students to maintain a higher GPA?†and “Is there a direct correlation between hours spent in class and hours required to complete homework for STEM majors?â€
Thank you in advance for your participation!
Questions? Contact Emma Rodrigues (erodrigues20@georgefox.edu).

What is a Code Jam? George Fox’s first Code Jam is a weekend-long, fully virtual event where CSIS students will work collaboratively on a team to build a tech-related project in 30 hours. It begins Friday, March 19, and ends Sunday, March 21.
Participants will sign up individually and can form teams of two to four George Fox students. Every team will also be paired with a George Fox alumnus to serve as their mentor and advisor throughout the weekend.

We have recently posted signs reminding our community of this requirement. Please remember to pay attention to seating requirements in the booths. Unfortunately, if we continue to have reports of non-compliance in the Bruin Den, we may be required to close this space.
Thank you for helping to keep our campus safe and open for use.
