Dear George Fox University Community
Â
This summer two serve teams from our school will be traveling overseas to learn, serve, and love people who have different languages, cultures, views, and faiths. The first team will be leaving in May to travel to Brazil. They will have the opportunity to serve in different areas of Brazil, including a camp in Londrina, working with street children in Sao Paolo, and serving in a small fishing community. The second team is leaving in June for India. They will get to learn and be involved with various NGOs who are working to bring justice to the impoverished in India, learn about organizations rescuing women and children out of the sex trade, and work in the Mother Teresa’ homes in Calcutta.Â
 Â
These teams are working hard fundraising to cover the vast expenses of these trips. Part of their efforts include the continuation of the annual May Serve garage sale. The garage sale will be held on March 17th, hopefully in the EHS parking lot if the weather permits. The teams will be actively accepting donations for this garage sale until March 15th. If you have any items in your house, sitting in storage, or have the desire to donate to this cause, we would greatly appreciate it.Â
If you would like to donate, please contact Zach Assink at zaassink@georgefox.edu (425) 772-3676 or Laurie Brown at lbrown04@georgefox.edu (530)906-5005. We are able to come pick up any donations. Â
Â
Thank you so much for your help!

Sincerely,
