The Ticket Man Cometh!

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Students: All cars registered through MyGFU have been issued parking permits. If you registered your car, you will need to go to Mail Services to sign for your permit. It will NOT appear in your mail box. The permits are to be affixed to your rear window, lower left-hand corner on the driver’s side. DO NOT place them on top of another permit!

There is no neighborhood parking allowed. All students with a car must register it on MyGFU and must park in the areas where your housing and corresponding parking permit indicates. Security has been giving out courtesy warning tickets this past week, but the ticket man cometh!

Bon Appetit offers info as new academic year begins

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Bon Appetit wishes to welcome all our new students as well as welcome back all our returning students. We’ve made several changes this year to accommodate all the additional students.

  • Starting Monday, Aug. 30, we will have two entry points into Klages Dining Room for lunch and dinner where students on meal plans can swipe their ID cards. In addition to the one in the hallway by the pond, we are adding a second station at the Bruin Den Annex door. We’re hoping this will shorten the lines during these meals.
  • Because the Bruin Den Annex will be open for student dining for lunch and dinner, it will no longer be an exclusive area for Bruin Den customers. For those who are accustomed to eating lunch in the annex, you’re still invited to come in and join us. Please just let our person who is swiping cards know you’re a Bruin Den customer and you’re welcome to bring in the lunch you purchased from the Den. Another great option would be to stroll over to our Villa Cafe located in the VAC.
  • Trays are back. Due to the large number of students we’ll be serving, we’ve decided to bring back the trays on a trial basis to see if using them will be more efficient for everyone.
  • This year we are introducing a new celiac-friendly station in our servery for those students who have certain gluten and wheat-related intolerances. Please come and check it out as it’ll greatly enhance the number of options available for meals.
  • For weekly menus and other information, please check out our website: cafebonappetit.com/georgefox.
