Students, if you haven’t done so already, go on MyGFU and either register your vehicle or check the box indicating you are not bringing a car to campus. You must do one or the other before the Add/Drop date of Friday, Jan. 24, to avoid being charged $40 for non-compliance.
If you registered as not bringing a car to campus fall semester, you are good to go for spring semester. If your car or housing situation has changed, please come to security so we can get you the proper permit for this semester.

The university’s theatre department invites you to join us for our winter musical, Parade. Shows are scheduled in Wood-Mar Auditorium Jan. 30 through Feb. 2 and Feb. 6-9. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the two Sunday matinees (Feb. 2 and 9), which begin at 2 p.m.

As the press and the public call for his execution, Leo learns to rely on the power of love in the midst of injustice. They delivered a record number of packages – almost 1,500 in nine hours at the Mail Services window. Our normal day is between 300 and 400 packages. Our record prior to Monday was 861 in one day.
Thank you, Mail & Print Services staff, for a job well done.

An Intro to Guitar class and individual guitar lessons are being offered on campus this spring. Sign up and add some fun to your schedule!
The Intro to Guitar class is offered for those new to the guitar who want to learn in a fun group setting. Learn to play rock, worship and popular songs while learning strumming patterns and chord progressions. No experience is necessary (MUSI 250-A; meets Tuesdays/Thursdays, 9:40-10:30 a.m).
Individual guitar lessons are offered to bring your playing to the next level. One-on-one lessons cover beginners all the way to very experienced players. Sign up and get some new skills and techniques. Work on music that you really want to play: rock, blues, worship, jazz, classical, etc. (MUSA 105/305 GT).
Lessons are taught by in-demand Portland guitarist Dave Iula. He performs with Portland’s top bands (Mel Brown, Patrick Lamb, Excellent Gentlemen) as well as many churches in Portland (Beaverton Foursquare, Southlake Church, Rolling Hills, Imago Dei Community).
E-mail Dave for more info at daveiula1@gmail.com.

We would like to inform you of a great and fun volunteer opportunity coming on Monday, Jan. 20. Once again, we will be taking part in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. There are no classes this day, so instead of taking the day off, come serve with us in Portland and get a free T-shirt.
MLK Day consists of meeting early Monday morning at Stevens and then heading to Portland. The day begins with a rally at David Douglas High School. From there, volunteers are assigned a community project, alongside other Portland-area college students.
This is a great event to meet other college students and also to volunteer. Transportation and food is provided by our department at no cost to you. All you need to do is register here by midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
If you would like more information, you can find it at this link or you can e-mail Inclusion and Student Leadership Programs at islp@georgefox.edu.
Make sure you invite your friends.
