Our movie, Worth It!, is in need of a lead male actor. There are only two words in the whole movie, so don’t worry too much about dialogue. It’s an unpaid gig with minimal shooting, but you will be fed.
The shoot will be done the weekend of Oct 15. Audtions for the movie will be held this Thursday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. in the Media Center on campus. Resumes are not required, just headshots. If you have acting experience, make sure to include it in the e-mail.
The film is Charlie Chaplin-esque. Actor should be very animated and look between 20 and 35. If interested or if you have questions, e-mail Mac Oxford at moxford09@georgefox.edu.

The short film Beautiful, a story about discovering one’s unique beauty as a woman of God, is having auditions this Saturday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m. in the university’s Media Center on the Newberg campus. It is a statement video about expressing beauty as a woman and not being afraid of it or just copying what the media portrays as beautiful.
Two roles are being cast:
- A young woman (18-26 years old) who is very conservative in the ways she expresses her beauty and tends to go unnoticed in large crowds and tries to be invisible.
- A second young woman (18-26 years old) who is very elaborate and flashy in the ways she expresses her beauty and tends to be judged in the Christian community because of what she wears.
Shooting will be conducted the weekend of Oct. 7-9 in Newberg. There is no pay, but meals will be provided during the shoot, a DVD copy will be given after completed, and a great seat at our premiere will be reserved for you.
If interested, please show up between 3 and 4 p.m. at the Media Center. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail the producer, Carissa Hoffman, at choffman09@georgefox.edu.

On Wednesday (Sept. 14), immediately after chapel, the Newberg Fire Department, invited by Residence Life, will be conducting its fifth annual Burn in the Quad. This is our shortest program but one of the most engaging educational experiences of the year. They will demonstrate how quickly a residence hall room can become consumed by smoke and flames.
The event will happen in the clock tower quad; the fire will start by 11:40 a.m. and it will probably be over by 11:45 a.m. Our apologies if this causes some classroom disruption.
Questions? Contact Dave Johnstone at djohnstone@georgefox.edu.
