All invited to two guest lectures this week
The campus community is invited to a pair of lectures happening this week.
This Wednesday, Feb. 5, join us as Catherine Pakaluk, a professor of economics at The Catholic University of America, presents “Can a Catholic be a Socialist?: Lies, Damned Lies, and Socialism,” at 7 p.m. in Hoover 103. She holds a PhD from Harvard University and has published numerous articles on Catholic social thought.
The following evening, Thursday, Feb. 6, Michael Pakaluk, a professor of ethics and social philosophy at The Catholic University of America, will speak on “Is Aristotle a Friend of Liberty?” at 7 p.m. in Hoover 105. He also earned a PhD at Harvard and is the author of several academic books and articles.
