University sponsors Farm Meet on April 20

Get to know your local farmers and learn more about locally grown products at the university-sponsored Farm Meet scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the Chehalem Cultural Center.

Farmers, gardeners, cooks and food enthusiasts will be on hand to offer brief talks while offering samples of their foods. In addition, clips from the movies Locavore, Fresh and Food Revolution will be shown. A $2 suggested donation will go to organizations seeking to promote local, ethical, healthy and delicious ways of eating.

The Chehalem Cultural Center is located just north of the city library at 415 E. Sheridan St. More details are available at georgefox.edu/green/farm-meet-2010.
