Spring play ‘Eurydice’ opens this week in Wood-Mar Auditorium

The theatre’s spring production of Eurydice opens this week in Wood-Mar Auditorium, with shows scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, April 8-10. Additional performances are scheduled April 15-17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 18, at 2 p.m.

Written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Megan Weaver, Eurydice is a fantastical retelling of the myth of Orpheus. The play follows the story of Orpheus’ lover as she falls in love, only to die on her wedding day. A visually dynamic and inventive story, Ruhl’s world features raining elevators, a room made of string, talking stones and letters sent through the earth via worms.

All George Fox University employees receive one complimentary ticket. Students will be admitted free on both Thursdays. Your complimentary ticket is only available at the Box Office in the Bruin Bookstore. Additional tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for alumni and seniors, and $6 for students and children under 12.
