Band, orchestra concerts play in Bauman Nov. 17, 19
The university’s Department of Performing Arts is hosting two concerts in Bauman Auditorium this week. On Monday, Nov. 17, a Band Invitational Concert, featuring the Newberg Community Band and the George Fox Symphony Band, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Chehalem Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature selections from Verdi, Schubert, Mendelssohn and Otto Nicolai. The orchestra, comprised of students and members of the community, will present its first concert with new director Ben Brooks.
Admission is free to both performances.
