Two concerts scheduled this weekend in Bauman Auditorium
The university community is invited to music concerts scheduled this weekend in Bauman Auditorium during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
On Saturday, Oct. 27, the university’s Concert Choir, Symphonic Band, String Ensemble, Women’s Chorale and Chamber Singers will perform a 2:30 p.m. concert. Selections will include “Peace Like a River” and “Make a Joyful Noise” (Women’s Chorale); “Come, Let’s Rejoice” (Chamber Singers); “Simple Symphony” and “Geigezoid for String Orchestra” (String Ensemble); “Gloria in Excelsis” (Concert Choir); and “Century Variants” and “Earl of Oxford March” (Symphonic Band). Admission is free.
That evening, at 7:30 p.m., Grammy-winning bassist, composer and conductor John Clayton will perform with the George Fox Jazz Ensemble for the annual “Evening of Jazz Concert.” Selections to be performed include “All of Me,” “‘Round Midnight,” “Golden Palm” and “Georgia.” Admission is free for employees and students (cost is $5 for general admission).
