‘Being Muslim in America’ is topic of Monday’s LACI lecture

The fourth installment of the “Islam and the West” Liberal Arts and Critical Issues series is set for Monday, Sept. 24, in Hoover 105. The session runs from 7 to 8 p.m. and features Harris Zafar, national spokesperson for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Zafar’s lecture, entitled “Being Muslim in America,” will provide insight into the experience of Muslims in this country and discuss questions such as “How do Muslims see themselves as part of American society?” Zafar has recently appeared on Fox News and other media outlets to comment on recent developments in the Middle East. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The same lecture is presented from 4:40 to 5:40 p.m.; however, it is recommended that the general public attend the evening session, if possible.
