Would you like to be part of the Community Garden this summer?
This could be the best year for the university’s Community Garden yet … are you interested in being a part of it?
Here are some highlights to note:
- We’re trying a new, lower-maintenance form of gardening (less weeding, less watering)
- We’re putting in a fruit tree orchard (apples, pears, figs, more!)
- We are benefiting from the fact that we double dug all our beds last year and the soil is great
So, if you would like to join the garden this year, please let Corey Beals know by the end of the week. He can be contacted at cbeals@georgefox.edu.
Joining the garden involves a $10 joining fee (or $15 if not a student) and adopting a bed that you will plant, tend and harvest (or share in this work/harvest with others). We will have work/eating parties on Wednesday evenings.
