International Club fundraiser supports women of Kolkata
The International Club is hosting a fundraiser to support women trapped in Kolkata’s sex trade. Freeset is a fair trade business offering employment to these women. They make quality jute bags and organic cotton T-shirts, but their real business is freedom!
We are working with Freeset to support the women and to raise funds for our club. The Indian bags we are selling are eco-friendly and would make great gifts for Christmas. The price of these bags will range from $8 to $15. We encourage you to come and check out the bags before they are all sold out!
Drop by our table in the Bruin Den between 10:30 a.m. and noon and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 2.
