University hosts essay contest on fair trade
The Center for Peace and Justice/Center for Global Studies (CPJ/CGS) is hosting an essay contest: “Fair Trade: A Market-based Approach to Sustainability and Justice.â€
The details:
- Open to George Fox students in bachelor’s or master’s degree programs (who have not yet earned master’s degrees), and to students affiliated with Canaan Fair Trade.
- Prize: An award of $250 will be given to a student from each group.
- Competition Guidelines: In 2,000–2,500 words, address the basis, benefits, challenges, and specific impacts of fair trade. Please make sure to provide specific examples (from any region).
- Entry Deadline: July 1, 2011
