Learn about starting a Food Recovery Network chapter at George Fox

The Food Recovery Network is the largest student-led movement against hunger and climate change in the country, supporting a network of 200-plus student chapters on college and university campuses across the U.S.

Student leaders in the Food Recovery Network contribute to the food waste elimination movement by recovering surplus food from their dining halls and other food venues, advocating for a more sustainable and equitable food system, and engaging meaningfully within their communities.

Together, we can not only find ways to recover surplus food, but also to learn about the environmental impacts of food waste and its contribution to climate change, and to develop the skills to lead efforts to address the causes and challenges of food waste.

If you want to learn more about starting a Food Recovery Network chapter at George Fox, you are invited to come to a meeting on Friday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Bruin Community Pantry. Lunch will be provided.
