Reminder: Extend the Be Known promise to Bruin Preview guests today

Thursday, April 4th, 2024

This will be one of our largest events to date! Here’s what you can keep in mind:

  • Use street parking instead of campus parking lots. Guests will be arriving this morning between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m. and will fill all the main campus parking lots.
  • Be mindful of guests in your housing area. We will have housing tours circulating through Edwards, Gulley, Pennington, and HMS from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour groups will be viewing dorm lobbies and a room in each dorm.
  • Plan for a busier-than-usual lunch in Canyon Commons. Guests will be going through the main servery lines and will eat in the main dining area. If you see a family looking for a spot to sit, invite them to join you and help direct them to their next activity.
  • Offer a helping hand with directions to students and their families!

Thank you for helping our visitors feel welcome!

Help support local parents with educational courses

Thursday, April 4th, 2024

Hello! We are a community outreach team from George Fox’s BUSN 250 class who are raising funds to support StandUpGirl.com, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to pregnant people and new parents.

A significant expense for Stand Up Girl is the free educational courses they provide, which include a range of topics, including preparing for pregnancy, caring for toddlers, and practical instructions such as how to bottle feed and change diapers.

We are kindly asking the George Fox community to consider donating to help cover the expense of these courses. Even a small amount helps to provide resources for struggling parents, both locally and nationally.

You can donate using this link. Thank you for your support!
