Expect to receive a test of the George Fox FoxAlert notification system on Friday

George Fox will be running a routine test of our FoxAlert text message midday on Friday, April 12. Students and employees should expect a text and email. This is the emergency alert system George Fox uses to get information out quickly. In the event of an actual emergency, you would be notified of further action to take.

If you don’t get a FoxAlert text message, make sure your emergency contact information is updated. Your cell phone number may not be in the FoxAlert system.

To update your campus emergency contact info for text alerts, follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to your My.GeorgeFox account.
  2. Click on “Profile.”
  3. Click on “Contact Details.”
  4. Make sure your cell phone number is listed under the phone section or click the plus button to type in your number.
  5. You must choose your cell and click “Preferred” to receive text alerts.
  6. Click “Save” to make sure your cell phone number is added to the text messaging on the FoxAlert system.
