Join free DASH diet taster and educational session May 15

Almost 50% of Americans have high blood pressure. The DASH diet is a science-supported diet that can help to reduce one’s blood pressure. In addition, people who follow a DASH diet experience improvements in weight and lipid levels, and have a reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes.

On Monday, May 15, the School of Physical Therapy will host an educational session at which participants can sample four DASH dishes and be entered to win one of three DASH cookbooks. The free 6 p.m. session in the Medical Sciences Building (448 Werth Blvd.) is limited to 30 participants and is open to the public.
